Karel Urbanek graduated in General Medicine at the Palacký University in Olomouc in 1994, received Ph.D. in Pharmacology and a certification in Internal medicine and in Clinical Pharmacology. In 2007 he became an associate professor of Pharmacology at the Palacký University in Olomouc. Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the Palacký University in Olomouc. He is current Scientific Secretary of the Czech Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Editor-in-Chief of the Czech national clinical pharmacology journal, the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy.
